The 2024 Erasmus+ Call is out

The European Commission has published the 2024 call for proposals under Erasmus+, the EU Programme to support education, training, youth and sport in Europe.

A budget of €4.3 billion has been earmarked for 2024 and in addition, to alleviate the effect of inflation on participants studying abroad and to enable broad participation, the Programme will increase the amounts of mobility grants by adjusting most of the mobility actions in the 2024 call by 5.9%. This increase will be complemented by a first adjustment of 12.27% in 2023.

In 2024, the Programme will offer stronger incentives for sustainable travel. In fact, it will be presented from 2024 as a default option, with participants from remote areas, islands or places with insufficient rail networks receiving appropriate compensation for using such sustainable travel modes.

Of course, cooperation activities under Erasmus+ will continue to bring people and organisations together to work on the Programme’s four overarching key priorities: inclusion, active citizenship and democratic participation, green and digital transitions.

In addition, Erasmus+ will continue to support Ukraine, through projects that can, for example, encourage incoming learning mobility, give new skills to people fleeing the country, help combat misinformation or promote the integration of refugees into a new education system.

Erasmus+ will also continue to play a key role in promoting common EU values. All programme beneficiaries and the activities they implement will respect and promote the values of human dignity and rights, freedom, democracy, equality and the rule of law.

Any public or private body active in the fields of education, training, youth and sport can apply for funding through the Erasmus+ National Agencies (in all EU Member States and countries associated to the programme) or through the European Fund Education and Culture Executive Agency (EACEA).

As far as schools are concerned, these are the main dates:
